Privacy Policy — EMS Registry Ready (website)
Last updated: 17 October 2026
EMS Registry Ready is an exam preparation app for EMS certification. This policy covers the website version, which offers an optional account. The short version: without an account we collect nothing. With one, we hold your email address, your study progress and whether you have paid, and nothing else.
Using the site without an account
You can study on the free tier without signing in. Your progress is then kept in your browser only, using the browser's own storage. It is not sent to us.
What an account holds
If you create an account, we store:
- your email address, which is how you sign in
- your study progress: your certification level, which questions you have answered and whether you answered them correctly, your streak and the days you studied, any items you have flagged, your notecard progress, and your exam date if you set one
- your plan: whether you have Pro, which plan, when it ends, and, if you have bought one, the customer reference Stripe gave you, so that a renewal, a cancellation or a refund reaches the right account
Progress is copied to your account so that it follows you to another device. Display preferences such as theme and accent color stay in the browser and are not uploaded.
We do not store your name, phone number, location or payment card details.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase runs the database and the sign-in system. Your email address, progress and plan are stored on its servers.
- Google, only if you choose "Continue with Google". Google tells us your email address and confirms it is yours. We receive nothing else from your Google account.
- Stripe processes payments. You enter card details on Stripe's own page, not ours, and we never see or store them. We give Stripe your email address and an account reference so the purchase is tied to your account; Stripe tells us which plan you bought, whether the payment went through, and when a plan renews, is canceled or is refunded. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what it holds.
- Our website host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and running.
We do not sell or share your information with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
Study reminders
If you add a daily reminder, the site makes a calendar file in your browser for your own calendar app; nothing about it is sent to us. If you choose Google Calendar instead, the site opens Google Calendar with the reminder's title and time filled in, and Google's privacy policy applies there. To stop a reminder, delete the event from your calendar.
Reporting a problem with a question
If you use Report on a question, we store the question's code, the reason you chose, anything you type in the note, and your certification level. If you are signed in, the report is linked to your account so we can follow up; if you are not, it is anonymous. Only we can read reports. Deleting your account removes the link to you but keeps the report itself, because it is about the question rather than about you.
Usage counts
To see how the site is used, it adds to a few anonymous daily counters in our own database: for example "a quiz was started", "the pricing screen was seen" or "the app was opened", with the certification level. That is all that is kept: an event, a level, a date and a running total. No cookie, device identifier, address or account is stored with it, and the count is sent without your sign-in attached. (Supabase's servers, like any web server, briefly log the network address each request comes from; we do not use those logs.) If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is counted.
Browser storage
The site stores your progress and, if you are signed in, a sign-in token in your browser's storage. If you have a paid plan, it also stores a copy of the full question bank so you can study offline. That copy holds questions, not anything about you, and it is removed when your plan ends or you sign out. The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
Deleting your data
- Delete your account: Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your account, your synced progress and your plan record from our database immediately, and cancels a monthly subscription so you are not charged again. Stripe keeps its own record of past payments.
- Clear this browser: Settings → Your data → Delete. If you are signed in, this also deletes the synced copy of your progress.
Our database provider's routine backups may hold a copy for a short period before it is overwritten.
Children
The app is intended for people training in emergency medical services and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Advertising and tracking
The site contains no advertising, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics and no social media integrations. It does not track you across other websites.
Not medical advice
EMS Registry Ready is study material. It is not medical advice and it is not a clinical reference. Nothing in it should be used to make decisions about the care of a real patient. Always follow your service's protocols, your medical direction and your scope of practice.
The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians or the Board for Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. If a change affects what we hold about you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
